Whether you just like to daydream or have forged an intricate web of wizards and dwarfs, if you want to write fiction, this class is for you. We’ll explore the main components of writing fiction and explore different styles and genres. We will cover character design and development, imagery, relationship dynamics, symbolism and more! Students will use these skills to gradually develop their own stories by the end of the session, and will have the opportunity to share and read others’.
This course follows the AP Microeconomics course but at a more manageable pace, with optional challenging concepts that might or might not be covered based on students' needs. Different from macroeconomics, microeconomics focuses on the study of individual decisions and individual markets, learning about scarcity and supply and demand. It is suggested to take the two courses together as they are taught together at BHS and require similar critical thinking skills.
This foundational course in Model United Nations (MUN) aims to equip students with a comprehensive understanding of essential MUN principles, including but not limited to effective public speaking, persuasive debate techniques, diplomatic solution formulation, and proficient utilization of parliamentary procedures. Topics below will be following the traditional MUN syllabus.
