Lawrence is a rising senior at Belmont High School, where he is the varsity soccer captain and involved in chess club, math team, and science team. He has been playing chess for over a decade, and was ranked Top 5 by his age group in rating nationally, being invited to multiple Spiegel Cups. Outside of BFL, he has been teaching chess for over 5 years to a variety of students, some of which have gone on to compete and win in state tournaments. Lawrence is dedicated to educating and inspiring the younger generation, which he hopes to accomplish through another successful year teaching Chess at BFL!
