​Math and Biology Instructor

Derek Chen is a rising senior at Belmont High School. He is a former mathematics instructor and a current biology instructor at Belmont Free Lessons. In mathematics, he has made AIME ever since sixth grade and has also taken Multivariable Calculus and Linear Algebra. In biology, he is one of the four members of the 2021 USA Biology Olympiad team to be representing the USA in the International Biology Olympiad in Lisbon, Portugal. He is excited to continue teaching this summer.
